NEWFOUND ARTISTRY: So Long Davey is a pop-punk band from San Diego, California. The band consist of David Vaughn on vocals, James Austin on guitar and Michael Behymer on drums. So Long Davey have been featured on the AP magazine in the Hometown Heroes section, they have been featured in a lof of festivals including Vans Warped Tour 2009. We got a chance to chat with David Vaughn via. email.

- Hello David, thank you so much for doing this with us on your free time!
David: Thanks for having me on your site!
- Alright, lets start with your full name and what you do in the band.
David: David Vaughn and I sing vocals.
- So I got people to submit questions for me to ask you for this interview. First off, why do you like wearing make up? and whats your favourite make up?
David: Make up is fun and the fact that people have a problem with guys wearing it just makes me want to put more on. I’m a fan of MAC and Urban Decay. But I use all sorts of stuff. I wish I could pull off the glitter thing, but I don’t think it looks very good on me.
- If you could choose one band, from anywhere to go on tour with, who would it be?
David: No Doubt. They are probably the reason I wanted to be in a band. James and Michael agree it’d be an amazing time. Plus it would be so good to learn from people who’ve been doing it for 20 years.
- Some of these are extremely ridiculous, like if you guys were hobos…what would you write on your cardboard to get money?
David: I would write: “Need money for neon pants”
- Would you sell your kidney just to get an ipad 2?
David: NO! Poor kid who did that I feel bad.
- If you were mexican, what would your name be? (personally i like Jaime pronounce hi-may (from Pierce the Veil )
David: I like the name Jaime, too. But I don’t think you need to be Mexican to be named Jaime.
- What would you do if you got caught stealing a random kids lollipop?
David: I don’t think I’d do that, so I’d probably give it back.
- Why do you always perform topless?
David: I don’t always perform without a shirt. During our big show at the House of Blues in San Diego at the beginning of June I wore football padding covered in Swarovski Crystals.
- If you’re a porn star, what would your name be?
David: Buff Long (my first pet’s name and my mom’s maiden name)
- If you were to get a tat which one would you do: a dick right across your forehead or a naked man on the side of your cheek? you can only choose one!
David: Naked man, definitely.
- LAST ONE! if you were a dinosaur, what would you name yourself
David: Glamasaurus Rex.
- David thank you so much for answering all these questions, before we end this, can you please tell us what you want people to listen to from So Long Davey? What would be the song that represents you guys?
David: We love “Six Feet Down”. It’s a lot of fun to play live and it’s our latest video, too.
