Anarbor are currently in the studio recording a new album. They have posted a new studio update, which you can check out here. Read the band’s statement below.
Today is our third day in Franklin, Tennessee at our producer Matt Mahaffey’s beautiful home studio. His house is beautiful. We’re literally in the middle of the forest. Imagine the M. Night Shamalan film “The Village.”
These past few days have been Matt and I slaving away on drum tones and really solidifying my parts. I couldn’t be happier with how things are coming along. We’re doing a lot of experimentation with different drums, tunings, timings, placements, and it’s really paying off to step outside my comfort zone and let things just happen naturally.
We’re definitely enjoying our fair share of Tennessee whiskey every night, while Matt and his wife our sticking to their wine collection. Also, Yuengling…so tasty!Today Slade and Dave are gonna start working on bass parts, so I get to relax a little bit and enjoy the peace and quiet.
I can’t wait for you all to hear these songs, they’re gonna blow you away! Hopefully we can fit some clips into our video updates which we’ll have coming every week.
