INTERVIEW - DYLAN DAGAN


1.  Hey Dylan, first of all, how old are you and what bands have you worked with?
Dylan: I’m 27 and I’ve worked with a lot of bands including Pierce the Veil, The Summer Set, A Rocket to the Moon, The Downtown Fiction, and There For Tomorrow

2. How old were you and how did you start merching?
D: I’ve been doing this for about five years, so around 22 and I had done a lot of work with PeTA as an outreach coordinator, traveling on Warped Tour and stuff like that which helped me make a lot of connections

3. Who was the first band you sold merch for?
D: Parade the Day

4. Have you ever been in a band? If you have, what’s the name of the band and what was your position in the band?

5. What’s your biggest pet peeve when you’re on the road?
D: When there are no Starbucks around.

6. Scariest tour experience?
D: Being robbed outside a venue.

7. The funniest and craziest things people have said to you while on the job?
D: Everything people say to me is crazy/funny

8. Who would you like to tour with, why, and where would you go?
D: Garth Brooks, everywhere he goes!

9. If a fan would go up and talk to you, how hard or easy would it be to ask you on a date?
D: It would be easy to ask me but maybe not as easy to get accepted

10. If you have to switch jobs for a day but still be a band crew, what job would you take and why?
D: Bass tech, ‘cause you don’t have to do anything!

11. Do you have any advice for the younger generations or anyone who would want to sell merch for a living?
D: I have to refer to my crystal ball on that one, so I’ll have to get back to you!
