Two years later, Chuck met up with Jeff and Seb who were in separate bands at the time, and combined to create Simple Plan. Chuck and Pierre then reacquainted at a Sugar Ray concert and Pierre left Reset to join Simple plan. David replaced Pierre in Reset but he then left to join Simple Plan six months later.

EISLEY is an indie rock/indie pop band which consists of what could be considered one of the world’s most musically gifted families out there. Sister’s Chauntelle and Sherri formed the band in 1997 at the ages of 16 and 14; creating music inspired by bands such as the Beatles & Radiohead. Younger sister Stacy who was 8 at the time was not part of the band due to her age although she persisted and wrote her own music without the help of her sisters before she finally became a part of the family band. Soon after brother Weston joined the band as drummer, although Garron did not join the band until 2005 at the age of 15, their bassist was initially Jonathan Wilson a family friend whose leave from the band caused the replacement. During the early stages of their career the band was not known as Eisley rather “The Towheads”, a name which followed them as they performed in their parent’s coffee shop which gave them their first exposure. During this time they performed with a lot of other bands such as Waterdeep, Midlake and plenty of others. Throughout these years also the band changed their names several times, before signing to Warner Brother Records they changed their name to “Moss Eisley” after a town in the movie Star Wars, due to legal troubles they decided to cut the Moss and stick with the name “Eisley”. The band parted ways with Warner’s in 2010 and in that same year they signed with Equal Vision Records
Successes:
During the same year of their signing the band won Dallas’s “Best new artist” award and there was radio success for their song “Telescope eyes” on FM102.1 (the edge) from their E.P. Laughing City in Dallas also.

Having said all this I can’t help but recommend a few guilty pleasures of mine off of Eisley’s most recent album “The Valley”. Personally I have to say that “Please” is one of the rawest most beautiful songs I’ve ever heard, so if you haven’t already checked it out, DO! Also “Ambulance” is yet another example of a song that not only shows real and heartfelt emotions but you can’t help but appreciate the amazing-ness which is the Dupree family. I could go on but honest to god everyone needs to check this band out because their 100% worth it.

- Alright, lets start with your full name and what you do in the band.
David: David Vaughn and I sing vocals.
- So I got people to submit questions for me to ask you for this interview. First off, why do you like wearing make up? and whats your favourite make up?
David: Make up is fun and the fact that people have a problem with guys wearing it just makes me want to put more on. I’m a fan of MAC and Urban Decay. But I use all sorts of stuff. I wish I could pull off the glitter thing, but I don’t think it looks very good on me.
- If you could choose one band, from anywhere to go on tour with, who would it be?
David: No Doubt. They are probably the reason I wanted to be in a band. James and Michael agree it’d be an amazing time. Plus it would be so good to learn from people who’ve been doing it for 20 years.
- Some of these are extremely ridiculous, like if you guys were hobos…what would you write on your cardboard to get money?
David: I would write: “Need money for neon pants”
- Would you sell your kidney just to get an ipad 2?
David: NO! Poor kid who did that I feel bad.
- If you were mexican, what would your name be? (personally i like Jaime pronounce hi-may (from Pierce the Veil )
David: I like the name Jaime, too. But I don’t think you need to be Mexican to be named Jaime.
- What would you do if you got caught stealing a random kids lollipop?
David: I don’t think I’d do that, so I’d probably give it back.
- Why do you always perform topless?
David: I don’t always perform without a shirt. During our big show at the House of Blues in San Diego at the beginning of June I wore football padding covered in Swarovski Crystals.
- If you’re a porn star, what would your name be?
David: Buff Long (my first pet’s name and my mom’s maiden name)
- If you were to get a tat which one would you do: a dick right across your forehead or a naked man on the side of your cheek? you can only choose one!
David: Naked man, definitely.
- LAST ONE! if you were a dinosaur, what would you name yourself
David: Glamasaurus Rex.

Hit The Lights Reveal Album Producers
Hit The Lights are currently recording their long-awaited album and are now halfway through the production process. Nick Thom from the band recently wrote up an update for fans to reveal which two producers are recording the album, and both will be a surprise to many. The Machine, who has worked with Four Year Strong and Armor For Sleep, has recorded the first half of the album with the band, and those songs are expected to sound “heavier.” Mike Sapone, who has worked with Brand New, Taking Back Sunday, and Crime In Stereo, has been confirmed as the producer for the second half of the album that is expected to sound “raw and atmospheric.” You can read the full update from Thom below by clicking “Read More”.
